Author of 'Zombie, Ohio' to Speak at WC
Scott Kenemore Will Read Passages from his Book
October 15, 2013
Sandwiched between the recent season premiere of TV’s Walking Dead and Halloween at the end of the month, Wilmington College thought the time was appropriate to bring the author of Zombie, Ohio to campus.
Scott Kenemore will read passages from his book Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m., in the McCoy Room of Kelly Center. His visit is being held in conjunction with the course, Zombie Literature, taught by James McNelis, professor of English.
Zombie, Ohio: A Tale of the Undead is among the course reading requirements.
An Amazon.com review of the book describes Kenemore as “skillfully combining” the genres of horror, humor and film noir.
“Zombie, Ohio weaves an enthralling and innovative tale that any fan of the current zombie craze is sure to relish. Followers of detective and horror fiction alike will find something to love about Zombie, Ohio—a tale of murder, mystery and the walking dead.”
Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society, is sponsoring Kenemore’s appearance, with support from Wilmington College alumnus Seth Kittay.
