FACULTY POSITIONS

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE POSITION

Wilmington College of Ohio, a private four-year college, announces a full-time tenure track assistant professor position in Criminal Justice to begin August 2015.

Candidates should be generalists prepared to offer a range of undergraduate courses in the criminal justice field. Preferred candidates will have a doctoral degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field, and some applied experience. Evidence of successful undergraduate teaching and the ability to utilize information technology in the classroom also is preferred.

Topics in Communication: Media, Law, and Ethics – an accelerated course offered on Monday evenings from 6 – 10 p.m. The course meets on seven Mondays, October 20 – December 8 (thre is no class meeting on November 24) at our Cincinnati State location

ADMINISTRATIVE

ACCOUNTANT

Wilmington College is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Staff Accountant. Duties will include, but are not limited to, performing a variety of accounting activities related to the general ledger. Analyze, verify, and post transactions to journals, ledgers, and review other record for all funds. Reconcile checking and deposit bank accounts; assist with month end closing and other general ledger account analysis reports; maintain, as well as invoice, the Miscellaneous Receivables. Analyze and review accounting postings as needed. Make decisions and establish work priorities on procedure-oriented tasks. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred and five years of experience in general ledger, account analysis, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. Applicant must possess good organizational, computer, and communication skills. Knowledge of the CARS system is highly desirable. Director of Human Resources

Wilmington College is seeking nominations and applications for a Director of Human Resources who will also serve as the Affirmative Action Officer for the college. The position is responsible for implementing and possibly formulating issues included in the College’s Strategic Plan such as: professional development of employees, employee evaluation strategies, and the development of a new employee orientation program. The Director of Human Resources is also responsible for overseeing payroll preparation, benefit changes and billings, worker compensation claims, unemployment claims, grievances, and contracts.

Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in the Human Resources area to be considered.

The College is an independent, co-educational four-year career-oriented, liberal arts college. Founded in 1870 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Wilmington, Ohio, the college is within an hour’s drive of Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus, three of Ohio’s major cities.

There are approximately 1,100 students on the main campus and another 750 enrolled in off-campus programs, including branches in Cincinnati. The college has 225 full time employees.

SUPPORT STAFF POSITIONS

Carpenter

Provides quality carpentry craftsmanship on building construction jobs from foundation to rooftop and performs work ranging from minor repairs to design and remodeling, including providing cost estimates and managing projects. Requires high school diploma plus technical certification and at least two years of related trades experience (or equivalent); strong experience in building trades including rough and finish carpentry; basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, architectural hardware, plastic laminate work and drywall finishing; willingness to perform all types of basic repairs and to assist with team projects such as snow removal and room setups; and ability to lift over 65 pounds and to climb and work on roofs or crouch/crawl in enclosed spaces. Experience with electrical or masonry work desirable.
