Director of Human Resources
Wilmington College is seeking nominations and applications for a Director of Human Resources who will also serve as the Affirmative Action Officer for the college. The position is responsible for implementing and possibly formulating issues included in the College’s Strategic Plan such as: professional development of employees, employee evaluation strategies, and the development of a new employee orientation program. The Director of Human Resources is also responsible for overseeing payroll preparation, benefit changes and billings, worker compensation claims, unemployment claims, grievances, and contracts.
Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in the Human Resources area to be considered.
The College is an independent, co-educational four-year career-oriented, liberal arts college. Founded in 1870 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Wilmington, Ohio, the college is within an hour’s drive of Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus, three of Ohio’s major cities.

Grow Food Grow Hope Interim Lead Project Manager
Time of hire through September 2014
Wilmington College and the Grow Food, Grow Hope Garden Initiative is excited to announce an immediate opening for an interim lead project manager. The manager will be responsible for guiding campus and community volunteers in properly managing activities throughout the local and surrounding communities, as well as providing leadership and supervision over the day-to-day coordination of the project. The manager will also be tasked to deepen relationships with community partners and involvement in our neighborhood and surrounding areas.
Wilmington College Grow Food Grow Hope works to increase the access of fresh food for families, promote the benefits of local food production and to raise awareness about self-sustainability in our daily food habits. We believe that by supporting community and backyard gardening projects, we can create dynamic and self-reliant communities in Southwestern Ohio while providing people with the means they need to live more healthy, productive and meaningful lives.
To meet our goals, the program manager will oversee and maintain the 40-plot Friends of Hope Community Garden on the Wilmington College campus, which provide the means and manpower for families to establish their own backyard garden plots, support school yard garden initiatives, host workshops and work with regional partners to establish new community garden sites.
The Project Manager will serve an interim contract through the end of September, 2014. Qualified applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years of responsible, related experience. The applicant should have the ability to plan and implement large projects and hands-on learning experiences. Demonstrated experience in community organizing is a plus, as well as a background in budget development and ability to effectively control budgetary expenditures.

Director, Institutional Effectiveness
Wilmington College (Ohio) is seeking the College’s first full-time Director of Institutional Effectiveness. The Director is responsible for administering a comprehensive institutional effectiveness program to provide college leadership with the information necessary to support institutional planning, decision making, and policy formation. The Director has primary responsibility for institutional research, assessment, and data for regional and professional accreditation. While reporting to the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Director also serves the other divisions of the institution, including Student Affairs, Athletics, Enrollment Management, Business and Finance, External Programs and Advancement. This position will be responsible for design, collection, and analysis of institutional data and preparation of evaluations, reports, an institutional fact book and data for grants. The Director also will coordinate the assessment of all operations, including academic and co-curricular programming. They will work collaboratively with a faculty assessment committee. The Director will work collaboratively with faculty, administration, and professional staff to develop effective strategies to assess student learning and program outcomes including monitoring campus-wide customer service and department/area effectiveness.
The Director must bring a strong vision and skill set for higher education analytics. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree (doctorate preferred) in a directly relevant discipline with a strong focus on research design and methodology skills. Experience in quantitative and qualitative research, statistical analysis, and reporting is required. Experience in assessment and program evaluation demonstrating expertise in the design and administration of assessment studies is also desired. A high degree of proficiency with educational research tools such as data warehousing, business intelligence, enterprise information systems, and statistics packages is required. Experience with the Jenzabar/CARS systems desirable. Experience with accreditation processes (NCA/HLC; TEAC; CAATE, etc.) preferred. The director must have strong written and oral communication skills.
