In a recent article by the New York Times News Service called, “A To-Do List For Better Health” the article discusses a few things you can do to better your health. The first thing they talk about is stop smoking. 100,000 people die each year of smoke related cancer in the U.S. and it increases heart disease as well. The second thing on the list is protect your skin. Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer. Covering up, wearing sun screen, and staying away from tanning beds can help prevent skin cancer. Eliminating the fats and greasy foods is another way to increase your health as well. The New York Times article discusses that staying active is one of the single most important things a person can do to stay healthy. Getting in 30-60 minutes of vigorous activity a day is ideal and working out in a group allows you to stay accountable and consistent.
