Make It A Day On, Not A Day Off
To celebrate the anniversary of MLK Day, Wilmington College's Center for Service and Civic Engagement sorganize the MLK Day Collegiate Challenge.
Each year student and community volunteers answer our call to service, which honors the memory of Dr. King, who once said, "Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve."
The MLK Day Challenge at Wilmington College will take place on MLK day each January. The Challenge consists of one day of intense service, whereby volunteer teams will go out into the community to tackle service projects for local non-profits. This is service that will have a lasting impact on the community and it will challenge volunteers to use their problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills to complete the job in just a few short hours.
The next MLK Day Collegiate Challenge will take place on January 20, 2014. We will be volunteering at the historic Murphy Theater in downtown Wilmington.
