Dr. Angela Mitchell is a tenured, Associate Professor of Business Administration at Wilmington College. She started teaching at WC in 2002. Angela was appointed Area Coordinator (equivalent to Department Chair) in 2004. Under her leadership, the department has made a good deal of progress over the last several years by streamlining our course offerings, increasing the rigor of the program, and preparing students for future careers through experiential learning. In 2010 she was recognized by the Greater Cincinnati Consortium of College and Universities for her teaching excellence. She also serves at the advisor to Delta Omega Theta sorority and the Equestrian Team. Prior to Wilmington College, Angela spent 5 years in product development at Procter & Gamble. While at P&G, she spent a considerable amount of time in the manufacturing environment leading trials to test new processes and product formulations. The combination of business experiences and technical background provides a unique perspective that Angela brings to the classroom.

Education: Angela earned a BS in Chemistry from Wilmington College in 1997 and her MBA from Thomas More College in 2001. She obtained a Ph.D. in Operations Management in 2009.

Research interests: Dr. Mitchell has extensive experience with non-profits in the areas of strategic management and board leadership. She was involved with a nationally-affiliated nonprofit organization for nearly 8 years. She served five terms as President of the Board of Directors. Other areas of research include business modeling, business ethics, quality control, and statistics education.
