Javonne has a background in agricultural education with experience in special education and animal science. Javonne previously taught high school agriculture in Ohio and California. In addition, she is also a licensed speech-language pathologist where she has practiced in both schools and in hippotherapy settings, using the movement of equine during client treatments. Javonne currently teaches courses in animal science and agricultural education. She also supervises agricultural education students in the field.
Javonne holds a B.S. in Agricultural Education from The Ohio State University, a M.S. in Agricultural Education from Oklahoma State University, and a M.A. from the University of Cincinnati in Speech-Language Pathology. She is currently completing her PhD in Agricultural Education from the University of Missouri where her research focus includes experiences of students with exceptionalities in high school agriculture programs.
In her spare time, Javonne enjoys riding and showing horses, travel and supporting her children with their livestock endeavors.
