He attended the University of California, Berkeley as an undergraduate before going on to complete an M.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University. Keith specializes in twentieth-century United States political history and is currently working on a book project that examines rural and small-town politics after World War II. He has presented his scholarship at a number of national conferences, including the Business History Conference and the Policy History Conference, and published numerous articles in academic journals and online history forums. At Wilmington, Keith teaches both halves of the American History Survey and is currently developing several future courses on topics such as the Agricultural History of the United States, the Black Freedom Movement, the Age of Reagan, and American Foreign Policy since World War II. When not teaching, this native of southern California’s Mojave Desert enjoys running and playing tennis, as well as taking walks with his dog Buford. Degrees:
