Pre-Physical Therapy students majoring in Exercise Science or Biology with a health science concentration can be admitted to physical therapy graduate schools. Recent graduates have been accepted into Case Western, Reserve University, the University of Dayton, Ohio State University, Baylor, Youngstown State, Chatham University, Elon University, and Mount Saint Joseph University.
Students choosing Pre-Law may major in any one of our academic areas, but common ones are English, Theatre, Criminal Justice and History.
Pre-Veterinary Science students majoring in Biology or Animal Science get a hands-on experience working with both small and large animals with local practicing vets. They also get experience performing research on our academic farms. Recent graduates have been accepted into the veterinary medical colleges at The Ohio State University, Cornell University, Kansas State University, Oregon State University, University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tennessee, University of Mississippi, and Ross University.
Pre-med students have a track record of successful admittance to medical school by majoring in Biology with a concentration in Life Science or Health Science. Recent graduates have been accepted at Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine at Ohio University, Northeast Ohio Medical University, Ohio University Medical College, The Ohio State University, University of Pittsburgh, West Virginia University School of Medicine and Lincoln Memorial University- DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The Exercise Science Major, with the Allied Health concentration, is the preferred course of study to prepare students for graduate education in health-related disciplines such as physical therapy, physician assistant, or chiropractic medicine. Students complete professional school prerequisite courses and gain hands-on experience during comprehensive field modules. Additionally, each student within the Exercise Science area receives one-on-one academic advising to help them successfully navigate the path to graduate school through extensive academic and career planning. Previous Allied Health graduates have attended Physical Therapy school at OSU, Baylor, Youngstown State, Chatham University, Elon University, and Mount Saint Joseph University.
