The Quaker Cupboard is a free resource available to all Wilmington College students. Students may request non-perishable food items, household goods, and personal hygiene items. We provided nearly 100 students with over 200 bags of items during the 2020-2021 academic year. This would not have been possible without the generous support of our campus and local community. Student Success, Diversity & Inclusion, the Student Resource Center, and Campus Ministry will continue to collaborate to operate the Quaker Cupboard.
The Quaker Cupboard is available to all of our students. The Quaker Cupboard will continue to utilize a "click-list" where students indicate the items they need, and SRC student workers prepare bags for pick-up.
Donate to the Quaker Cupboard
Donations may be dropped off at the Student Resource Center (RCC 103) or the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (Pyle). We are always in need of dry food goods, individually packaged items (such as peanut butter and cheese crackers), canned goods, ramen noodles and granola bars. Students especially prefer food that can be prepared in a microwave. We also always accept personal hygiene items (such as feminine hygiene items, soap, deodorant, and more) and household items (such as paper towels, cleaner, laundry, soap, etc.).
Cash donations can be made through the Office of Advancement Giving Form, simply add "Quaker Cupboard" as the designation.
