Annual Evening of Song, Dance and Insight to Highlight 'Coming to America' Theme
Wilmington College’s annual African Village program will highlight the theme “Coming to America” Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. in the Top of Pyle.
The event, which is sponsored by Black Student Initiative, is part of the College’s observance of African-American History Month in February.
It will look back on this history of African-Americans from Africa to contemporary America in presentations that will encompass music, storytelling, singing and cultural dancing, as well as light refreshments. 2011 alumnus Scott T. Johnson will provide a keynote address.
African Village is free of charge and open to the public.
