Online Baccalaureate Ceremony Planned for June 5

Annual Event Is Part of Commencement Weekend The College is presenting its annual Baccalaureate ceremony Friday, June 5, at 7 p.m., via WC's website at www.wilmington.edu. Baccalaureate traditionally is a service when graduating seniors join with the faculty, staff and administration for a time of reflection and gratitude. This year's unprecedented circumstances have forced the event online, which makes it available for families and all others interested in joining the Class of 2020 in this meaningful College convocation. Campus Minister Nancy McCormick will preside at the program featuring music by Dr. Brianna Matzke, assistant professor of music, and reflections from graduating seniors Alaunna Nelson, Lauren Grover, Brandon Ford and Tricia Seckel. Also, President Jim Reynolds will share a benediction. A special finale will feature a slideshow video with images ranging from that day in August 2016 when the class arrived at WC through this spring. The College's Commencement ceremony will be presented online the next day, June 6, at 10:30 a.m.
