6 Artists to Present Work
Members of the art faculty at Wilmington College will present an array of paintings, ceramics, prints and mixed media while featured in the Faculty Art Exhibition in Harcum Gallery from Jan. 24 through March 8.
PICTURED: Harcum Gallery curator Hal Shunk hangs a 30x30-inch acrylic painting by Linda Stanforth titled "Haskins Arboretum."
An opening reception is being held in honor of the artists Jan. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. Normal gallery hours are weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and by special appointment arranged through curator Hal Shunk.
Shunk, professor of art, will present his recent work along with adjunct faculty members Michele Carr, Nicolin Haines, Linda Stanforth and Mary Beth Thorngren.
Dr. Brianna Matzke, assistant professor of music, will perform several pieces on the piano at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Shunk, a full-time faculty member since 1988, teaches painting and printmaking while each of the adjuncts, at one time or another, has taught drawing courses. Also, Haines teaches ceramics with Carr instructing mixed media and Stanforth and Thorngren, painting.
