WC Hosting Small Business Speed-Mentoring & Benefits Fair

Business Administration

Small business leaders and entrepreneurs will gather at Wilmington College’s Kelly Center for the Small Business Speed-Mentoring & Benefits Fair on Feb. 19 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The College is partnering with the Cincinnati-based TechSolve in hosting this event, which is designed to help businesses thrive by providing valuable insights from top experts. It will connect small business owners with professionals who can offer guidance for successful outcomes.

The event will feature speed networking sessions, enabling participants to connect with experts in a dynamic, fast-paced atmosphere and offering opportunities to discover strategies with professionals in various fields. Additionally, concurrent breakout sessions will facilitate a thorough exploration of topics most pertinent to businesses, including legal and compliance, financial management, marketing, sales and human resources. In addition, vendors will be on hand to discuss solutions in areas ranging from technology and finance to accounting, insurance and marketing.

Eric McLaughlin is Wilmington College’s director of career services and workforce development. He said the College wishes to reach out to area businesses and entrepreneurs through this event as a community partner interested in fostering support for growth and success.

“We’re looking forward to connecting small business leaders and entrepreneurs with resources to help their businesses flourish,” he said.

McLaughlin has been working with TechSolve’s Lacy Wise, manager of client engagement, to solidify the Small Business Speed-Mentoring & Benefits Fair program. TechSolve is an Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership that assists the state’s small and medium-sized manufacturers to increase sales, create jobs and generate cost savings through technological innovation, workforce training and improved management practices.
