Environmental Science
The Environmental Science concentration prepares students for careers in natural resource management, environmental education, environmental quality/habitat assessment and conservation biology. Students are well-prepared to continue graduate work in these areas as well as entering careers directly. Students have the unique opportunity for experiential travel to study tropical biology and conservation in Costa Rica and to study marine biology in North Carolina or Belize. Students in the biology program gain hands-on research experience through a capstone course with individualized attention by a faculty mentor.
