Using a medical-based education model, pre-athletic training students are educated to provide comprehensive patient care in five domains of clinical practice: prevention; clinical evaluation and diagnosis; immediate and emergency care; treatment and rehabilitation; and organization and professional health and well-being. The College’s Pre-Athletic Training pathway features a combination of classroom theory and hands-on learning field experiences. It prepares students to enter a graduate program in Athletic Training, which is required for taking the Board of Certification examination. Your academic adviser will assist you in selecting the undergraduate courses and field experiences you’ll need to apply for a graduate program. WC has articulation agreements with a number of university master’s programs in AT.
