Pre-Nursing

Nursing is a science in the medical field and the need for nurses has never been greater. Nurses work with other medical practitioners covering the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease and treating physical injuries and many other aspects of health. Wilmington College offers a 2+2 partnership program with Mount Carmel College of Nursing in which students take two years of general education and can seamlessly enter Mount Carmel’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program to complete their degree. A total of 56 hours with grades of “C” or better is required for all courses with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. Your academic adviser will assist you in selecting the undergraduate courses and field experiences you’ll need to enter Mount Carmel College of Nursing or another school.
